Muerren is situated in magnificent mountain setting above the Lauterbrunnen Valley near Interlaken in the Bernese Oberland of Switzerland.

The village can be reached by public transport (train, cable car) or by private car comfortably.

By plane

Fly to the airport of Zurich, Berne or Geneva. Continue by train. Try for cheap tickets with Swiss, Helvetic, Germanwings, Easyjet, Air Berlin, Germania.

By train

Regular trains from the airports of Zurich and Geneva. Total travel time from both airports around 4 hours. Special train fares ('Swiss Transfer Ticket') for foreigners entering from outside Switzerland/any Swiss airport. Changing trains in Berne and/or Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen. The last stretch you'll travel by funicular, arrow gauge train or cable car....

By car

Muerren is a car-free village. People coming by car should drive up to Interlaken, continue to the Lauterbrunnen Valley and drive up to Lauterbrunnen or further on to Stechelberg. After parking their cars on the permanent parking lots (Online car parking reservation Lauterbrunnen) they can reach Muerren with the BLM Mürrenbahn funicular (from Lauterbrunnen) or the Schilthornbahn cable car (from Stechelberg).

The village of Muerren itself is small, maximum walking time from the stations to the hotel is 15 min. Luggage transport carts available at the hotel.
